Resilient Container Moves to Instagram

Dear Readers and Subscribers,

When I updated my website in September, 2021, I decided to try out two very different blogs: Resilient Container for gardening and Bookcase Bizarro for children’s book reviews.

Since that time, I’ve discovered that while I love gardening, I don’t love blogging about it. Gardening functions as a kind of break from writing and having to come up with posts during those breaks just kept me thinking about…writing. Kinda counter-productive.

As a result, I’ve decided to shut down the Resilient Container blog.

You can still follow my Resilient Container gardens over at Instagram where I post snaps of my indoor salad garden, other food gardens and rescue plant gardens. I’m continually experimenting with how to balance food security with a busy writing schedule and will continue to share strategies, results – and mistakes – through Instagram.

Bookcase Bizarro, a monthly children’s book review blog, will now become the official blog of this website.

What is Bookcase Bizarro?

Each month, we feature a selection of board books and a ‘book to grow into’ for beginning readers. Our picture books panel consists of a children’s writer (me), a literacy tutor and an early childhood educator and offers a uniquely multi-faceted approach to children’s book reviewing. We have a special focus on middle grade graphic novels and novels (because that’s what I write). We aim to present a widely diverse selection of books for all kids and the adults who care for them.

You can check out Bookcase Bizarro here and sign up for our snazzy email newsletter to have our monthly children’s book reviews delivered straight to your inbox.

Thanks for supporting my work through your subscription to Resilient Container. I hope to see you over at Bookcase Bizarro!
